Cold start
1. Put the switch to the ”I” position.
2. Continuously push the primer bulb until fuel appears in the bulb.
3. Pull out the choke knob. The choke will close and the throttle lever will then be set in the
starting position.
4. Push the front handle guard/chain brake down toward the front to activate the chain brake.
5. While holding the saw unit securely on the ground, pull the starter handle vigorously.
6. When the engine res, press the throttle trigger to allow the choke to return to the running
position and pull the starter handle again to start the engine.
7. Pull up the front handle guard/chain brake toward the actual handle to release brake.
Then, allow the engine to warm up by applying a slight pressure to the trigger.
