The chain oil ow can be changed by inserting a screwdriver in the hole at the bottom of the
clutch side and adjusting the chain oil screw. Adjust according to your work conditions.
Turn the screw anticlockwise to increase the ow.
Turn the screw clockwise to decrease the ow.
NOTE: The oil tank should be empty by the time the fuel is used up. Remember to rell the oil tank at
the same time as refuelling the saw.
CHECKING THE FUNCTION OF THE CLUTCH
Before each use, check that there is no chain movement when the chainsaw runs at idling speed.
ADJUSTING CARBURETTOR
The carburettor may only be adjusted by an authorised repair centre.
CHAIN BRAKE
The chain brake is a device which stops the chain instantaneously if the chainsaw recoils due to
kickback.
The brake is normally activated automatically through inertial force. It can also be activated
manually by pushing the brake lever/front handle guard down toward the front.
When the brake is active, a white cone protrudes from the base of the brake lever.
To release brake, pull up the front handle guard/chain brake toward the front handle until it
clicks into place.
When the brake is activated, release the throttle lever to slow down the engine speed.
NOTE:
Continuous operation with the brake engaged will generate heat from the clutch and may cause
problems.
Always check that the brake is working before using the saw.
