Warm start
1. When restarting immediately after stopping the engine. Set choke in the open position.
Once the choke knob has been pulled out, it will not return to the running position and
it cannot be pressed in by hand. When you wish to return the choke knob to the running
position, press the throttle trigger instead.
2. Push the front handle guard/chain brake down toward the front to activate the chain brake.
3. While holding the saw securely on the ground, pull the starter handle vigorously.
4. When the engine res, press the throttle trigger to allow the choke to return to the running
position and pull the starter handle again to start the engine.
5. Pull up the front handle guard/chain brake toward the front handle to release brake.
STOPPING
1. Release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to idle for a few minutes.
2. Set the switch to “O”.
CHECKING SUPPLY OF OIL TO CHAIN
• After starting the engine, run the chain at medium speed and check whether chain oil is
dispersed as shown in the gure below.
