SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
Save these Operating Instructions for future reference.
Follow the assembly instructions carefully.
Check the trimmer at regular intervals. Check all parts for damage and wear.
Only use the trimmer for its intended use.
Make sure the user knows how to operate the machine.
Make sure that the machine's safety devices are fitted and undamaged.
Only use original parts when carrying out repairs or service.
Follow the recommended service intervals.
Engine exhaust fumes contain substances that are carcinogenic and may cause harm to a foetus
or cause reproductive damage.
To prevent the machine from starting when you are adjusting, transporting or repairing it, remove
the ignition cable from the spark plug before working on the machine.
Make sure you are familiar with all the machine markings with respect to safety and handling.
Make sure the area where the machine is to be used is free from foreign objects. The machine can
eject objects at high speed.
Make sure the machine is not used in the vicinity of greenhouses, windows, cars or other fragile
surfaces.
Check the controls and trimmer lines before use.
Make sure nuts and bolts are tight and in good condition.
Check the trimmer head attachment every time you change the line.
Safety instructions for use
Children must not be allowed to use or come close to the machine.
Keep other people and pets away from the work area.
The safety distance to the machine is 15 metres.
The machine may only be used by adults with good knowledge of the machine.
Never use the machine if you are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
The machine is not intended for use by people with disabilities as they may have difficulty operating
the machine safely.
Always wear eye protection, protective gloves, protective footwear and protective clothing when
using the machine. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or shorts when using the machine.
Wear a protective helmet to avoid being injured by flying objects.
Keep hands and feet away from moving parts.
Turn off the machine and ensure that the trimmer head has stopped rotating before crossing gravel
roads, gravel paths, etc.
Do not use the machine if the grass is wet. Major risk of slipping.
Be careful when you reverse the machine.
Do not operate in poor lighting conditions or if visibility is poor.
The machine must not be started indoors or in spaces with poor ventilation. Exhaust fumes are
harmful.
Never leave the machine unattended when it is in operation. Make sure the machine is switched
off, the trimmer head has stopped and the ignition cable is disconnected before you leave it
unattended.
If the machine starts to vibrate abnormally, you must stop the engine and disconnect the ignition
cable. Vibrations are usually a sign that the machine is not working properly.
Watch out for holes in the ground, roots, bumps or other obstacles. High grass can hide obstacles.
Do not use the machine on slopes with a gradient of more than 15.
Always cut across the face of slopes, not up and down. Always be very careful when changing
direction on slopes.
Do not cut close to ditches, steep banks or other edges.
