Changing the engine oil
1. Shut off the engine and let it cool.
2. Disconnect the ignition cable from the
spark plug.
3. Unscrew the oil plug (1) from the
underside of the engine.
4. Allow the oil to drain into a collection
vessel.
5. Refit the oil plug. Check that it is firmly
tightened.
6. Remove the dipstick.
7. Refill with new oil. DO NOT OVERFILL.
8. Connect the ignition cable to the spark
plug.
Replacing the trimmer line
Replace the trimmer line when it has worn down
to half its original size. Use a 4 mm diameter line.
1. Shut off the engine and disconnect the
ignition cable from the spark plug.
2. Remove the old trimmer line.
3. Cut two new trimmer lines. +They should
be 546 mm. Use the length indicator on
the cover as a measure, see figure.
4. Thread each end of the line in the outer
loops.
5. Take each end of the line and insert them
in the trimmer head's centre loop.
