SPEAKER CONNECTIONS
Most speakers have a positive (indicated with a + or colored dot) and negative (indicated
with a -) marking on the terminals. These are used to indicate polarity, and must be
considered when wiring stereo speakers or multiple subwoofers to an amplifier.
Amplifiers also have positive and negative markings on their speaker outputs. These may
be used to correspond or match with the speaker polarity markings to ensure that the
stereo speakers are in-phase with each other. Failure to wire stereo speakers in phase
with one another will result in a loss of bass. All Power Reference amps require
minimum 2ohm impedance in stereo or 4ohms in mono (bridged) mode.
