Turn out the manual tilt release valve three turns counterclockwise.
This allows manual tilting of the outboard. Tilt the outboard to the
desired position and tighten the manual tilt release valve.
TILT-IN STOP ADJUSTMENT
NOTE: The outboard should be positioned against the tilt‑in stop
pins during operation.
The adjustment of the tilt‑in stop pins will set the vertical operating
angle of your outboard. Proper adjustment allows the boat to run
stable, achieve optimum performance, and minimize steering
effort.
a - Tilt‑in stop pins
NOTE: Refer to the following lists when adjusting the operating
angle of your outboard.
The tilt‑in stop pins should be adjusted so the outboard is
positioned to run perpendicular to the water when the boat is
running at full speed. This allows the boat to be driven parallel to
the water.
