Changing Engine Oil
ENGINE OIL CAPACITY
1. Without oil filter replacement: 5.8 liters (6.1 quarts).
2. With oil filter replacement: 6.0 liters (6.3 quarts).
OIL CHANGING PROCEDURE
Pump Method
1. Place the outboard in a vertical position.
2. Remove dipstick and slide adaptor tube/pump down dipstick tube. Pump out the engine oil into an appropriate
container.

Drain Plug Method
1. Place the outboard in a vertical position.
2. Loosen seven screws and remove the starboard side cover.
3. Remove drain plug and drain engine oil into an appropriate container. Lubricate the seal on the drain plug
with oil and reinstall.
