peller, remove spark plug leads from spark
plugs to prevent engine from starting
accidentalty.

Remove top cowl (see COWL RE

MOVAL and INSTALLATION) and d~scon-
nect spark plug leads.

Place wood block between propeller
blade and
anti-ventilat~on plate to prevent
rotation.

Turn propeller shaft nut counterclock
wise to
rerriove nut.

Slide tab washer, propeller and splined
thrust hub off propeller shaft.

PROPELLER INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Periodically check propeller
nut for tightness during boating season.

ACAUTION
Operation with a loose propeller could
cause damage to the thrust hub and gear
housing during acceleration, deceleration
or when shrfiiing gears.
