CRC
If CRCs are enabled all transmitted and received messages have a 16 bit CRC
appended to the message. The CRC polynomial is X^16 +X^12 +X^5 +1 (CRC-CCITT) The
varient used is CRC-CCITT-KERMIT.
FRAMING
Packet framing in accomplished with timed gaps in transmitted data. Default packet
frame timeout is 2 character times at high baud rates and 25 character times at 115200
baud.
