Transverse movement (x-axis) is
controlled by moving the operating
lever to the left or right.
The workpiece is clamped to the
clamping table with the clamping arm.
The auxilary fence prevents the
workpiece from moving.
11 Dust Collection
If this morticing attachment is operated indoors for more than 30 minutes a day it must be connected to a dust
collector (the dust of oak and beech is classified as cancer causing).
The dust collector this morticing attachment connects to must provide for a minimum air flow rate of 16 mtr/sec.
The dust collection port of the morticing attachment has a nominal diameter of 100 mm.
10 Workpiece Dimensions
The maximum size of a workpiece to be worked without additional support is 160 x 160 x 1500 mm. If the workpiece
is longer than 1500 mm additional support is required, e.g. by using roller stands.
9 Work Safety
When operating the morticing
attachment the cutterblock must
always be completely covered by the
fence carrier.
When the morticing attachment is not
in use, the morticing bit must be
removed from the chuck and the chuck
covered with the chuck cover.
The workpiece must be carefully
clamped to the table, the auxiliary
fence set against it from the rear to
prevent it from moving in the y-axis
direction.
Note
Always remove the tool from the drill chuck when work is finished.
