Set clamping table to required height
and lock in position with the starknob
screw.
Set knurled nut of depth stop and lock
with counter nut.
To set drilling depth, place tape or
stick measure on the table and against
the morticing bit, move table forward
until required depth is indicated by the
bit's tip
After all holes for the complete length of the mortice have been drilled, move the clamping table sideways to remove
the remaining material. Depending on the depth of the mortice and cutting properties of the material being worked, make
several passes of increasing depth to prevent damage to the bit and/or overloading the machine.

13 Care and maintenance
Regularly lubricate all shafts, knurled nuts, threaded rods and bushings with a few drops of oil.
The slottet guide bushings of the table and table support allow for compensation of play on the guide rods.
Start machine and drill holes side by
side, slightly overlapping.
Clamp workpiece on the table and
support with the auxiliary fence. Set
stops for the transverse stroke with
the knurled nuts.
Mark the position and length of the
mortice.
