Other causes include exhausted or contaminated reagent (exchange the reagent), exhausted molecular sieve (check the molecular sieve), a pierced septum (check the septum), faulty seals (check the seals), rough ground joint sleeves (check the ground joint sleeves), a polluted or moist generator electrode diaphragm (check the generator electrode diaphragm), or a sample matrix that consumes iodine (change the reagent more often). Also, ensure the seals are screwed tight and allow the instrument to run overnight.
