Overview

The Mi-T-M GH-Series pressure washer is a robust and versatile hot water cleaning system designed for a wide range of demanding applications. This industrial-grade unit features a patented Electro Magnetic Firing (EMF) System, ensuring reliable performance and efficient hot water generation. Its primary function is to provide high-pressure hot water for effective cleaning, making it suitable for tasks requiring powerful degreasing, sanitization, or removal of stubborn dirt.

The device is built with a one-piece, welded construction, featuring a full roll cage with solid steel axles, a lifting hook, and a convenient push/pull handle. A protective steel housing cover further enhances its durability and protects internal components. For easy mobility, the unit is equipped with four flat-free tires, allowing for effortless transport across various terrains. The entire frame is finished with a powder coating, providing an extra layer of protection against corrosion and wear.

Key usage features include an adjustable pressure dual lance, which allows the operator to easily switch between high-pressure "fan" spray and low-pressure detergent application. This is achieved by simply rotating the adjustable grip on the dual lance assembly. Turning the grip counterclockwise selects high pressure, while turning it clockwise enables low-pressure detergent application. When in low-pressure mode, the detergent injector draws cleaning solution into the system, mixing it with water for effective application. The unit is supplied with a 3/8" x 50' high-pressure hose, a trigger-controlled gun with a safety lockoff, and an insulated lance, all designed for user comfort and safety during operation.

For hot water operation, the unit incorporates a burner system. The burner switch, when moved to the "ON" position, initiates the heating process. Water can reach maximum temperature in approximately 2.5 minutes, provided the trigger gun remains squeezed. The burner is designed to fire intermittently during spraying, and a high-limit switch ensures combustion ceases if the water temperature exceeds a preset maximum, restarting when the temperature drops. This intelligent control prevents overheating and ensures consistent hot water delivery.

Safety is paramount in the design and operation of this pressure washer. The manual emphasizes numerous safety warnings, including risks of explosion or fire, asphyxiation, injection or severe cutting injury, electrocution, burns, bursting, and injury from moving parts. Operators are strongly advised to read and understand all safety precautions before use. Proper attire, including protective goggles, is recommended, especially when handling detergents. The trigger gun features a safety lockoff to prevent accidental discharge, and it should always be locked when not in use. The unit should only be operated in well-ventilated outdoor areas to prevent the buildup of dangerous carbon monoxide and other hazardous vapors.

Maintenance features are designed to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the pressure washer. Regular checks of the pump oil level are crucial, with an initial change recommended after the first 50 hours, followed by changes every 3 months or 250 hours. The oil sight glass on the pump crankcase helps monitor the oil level, and SAE30W Non-Detergent pump oil (Grainger Item #4ZF21) is specified for refills. The water inlet strainer should be inspected and cleaned or replaced regularly to prevent obstructions that could lead to pump cavitation and premature failure of pump packings.

The fuel water separator, an integrated component of the fuel filter, requires occasional draining of accumulated water and contaminants. This procedure involves checking the collection bowl daily, placing an oil catch basin, loosening the drain plug, and then retightening it after drainage. Proper disposal of the drained fluid according to environmental regulations is also highlighted.

Burner air adjustment is another important maintenance aspect, especially when operating at different altitudes or temperatures. The air shutter is factory preset, but adjustments may be necessary to optimize combustion efficiency and prevent excessive sooting. This involves a smoke spot test and incremental adjustments of the air shutter adjusting arm.

The manual also provides detailed instructions for priming the pump, cold water operation, and proper shutdown procedures. Priming is essential each time the water supply is disconnected or after periods of inactivity to flush out any contaminated water from the steel coil. During shutdown, the burner switch should be turned off, and the trigger gun squeezed for three minutes to cool the heat exchanger and high-pressure hose, preventing premature wear. The engine fuel shut-off valve should be closed, and trapped pressure relieved before disconnecting and storing hoses in a non-freezing environment.

The use of mild detergents is specified for cleaning, with a strong caution against using corrosives, acids, or solvents that could damage the heat exchanger coil or pose safety hazards. After each use of the detergent injection system, siphoning a gallon of water through it is recommended to prevent corrosion and residue buildup. Promptly addressing any leaks in the pumping system by replacing suspect parts and applying thread sealant is also crucial for maintaining the unit's integrity. The manual also warns against altering or modifying the equipment in any manner, emphasizing that incorrect operation can lead to serious injury.
