Do you have a question about the MICODUS MV55G and is the answer not in the manual?
The MiCODUS MV55G is an OBD-II GPS tracker designed for vehicle monitoring and security. This device offers a range of features for real-time tracking, historical route playback, and various alarm functions, making it suitable for personal and fleet management applications.
The MV55G tracker provides comprehensive vehicle monitoring capabilities. Its core function is real-time tracking, allowing users to monitor the vehicle's location continuously. The device supports historical route playback, enabling review of past travel paths. For enhanced security, it includes an overspeed alarm, which notifies users when a predefined speed limit is exceeded. A geo-fence feature allows users to set virtual boundaries and receive alerts when the vehicle enters or exits these areas.
The tracker is equipped with several alarm functions to alert users to potential issues or unauthorized activities. These include a vibration alarm, which triggers upon detecting unusual vibrations, and a movement alarm, which alerts if the vehicle moves without authorization. A plug-out alarm notifies if the device is disconnected from the OBD-II port. The engine start/flameout alarm provides alerts when the engine is turned on or off. Additionally, the device supports a 4G WiFi hotspot (optional), offering internet connectivity within the vehicle.
The device is activated by inserting a SIM card (Nano SIM, Micro SIM, or Normal SIM) in the correct direction. LED indicators provide status updates: a red LED for power (solid for charging, dark for charger not inserted, dark for fully charged), a yellow LED for cellular network (flashing for searching, solid for registered), and a blue LED for GPS (flashing for fixing, solid for fixed). If the device is working but stopped for more than 5 minutes, the blue LED will be solid. If the device has not been turned on or runs out of battery, all LEDs will be off.
Configuration and control of the device are primarily done via SMS commands. Users can set the APN (Access Point Name) for internet connectivity, configure SOS numbers for emergency alerts, and manage various alarm settings. For example, the vibration alarm can be enabled or disabled, and its sensitivity adjusted. The engine status change detection alarm can be configured to send alerts upon engine start or flameout. The plug-out alarm also provides notifications if the device is removed from the OBD-II port.
The device comes with a GPS main unit, a user manual, a quick user guide, and optionally, a genuine packing box and an OBD extension cable.
