of the screen. If the result falls within the range print-
ed on the test strip package (typically CTRL 1) the
device is working properly.
• After the test is finished, eject the test strip. If the
control solution results are outside of the reference
range:
- Conrm you are matching the correct range. Con-
trol Solution 1 results should be matched to the
CTRL1 range printed on the test strip vial (or foil
pouch).
- Check the expiration date of the test strip and
control solution. Make sure that the packages have
not been opened for more than 6 months. Discard
any expired test strips and control solutions.
- Confirm that you are testing within the correct
temperature range (15-30 °C). Make sure that the
test strip vial and control solution bottle have been
tightly closed.
- Make sure that you are using the correct brand of
control solution.
