What to do if my Midea Heat Pump air conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming?
- AaloweAug 26, 2025If your Midea Heat Pump is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming on the cooling coil, it could be due to: * Outdoor temperature being below 64°F (18°C). Set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost the coil. * A dirty air filter. Clean the filter and set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost. * The thermostat being set too cold for nighttime cooling. Set to FAN ONLY mode to defrost, then increase the temperature setting.
