Overview

This document provides instructions for the Midea Built-in Electric Oven, model MO9BL. It covers operation, accessories, installation, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Midea MO9BL oven offers a variety of cooking functions to suit different needs:

  • Oven Lamp: Illuminates the oven cavity, allowing users to observe cooking progress without opening the door. The lamp is active for all cooking functions.
  • Defrost: Utilizes air circulation at room temperature to quickly thaw frozen food without heat. This is a gentle yet efficient method for defrosting ready-made dishes, cream-filled products, and more.
  • Bottom Heater: A concealed element at the bottom of the oven provides heat, primarily used for keeping food warm. The temperature can be set between 60-120°C, with a default of 60°C.
  • Conventional Cooking: Both top and bottom heating elements work together for traditional convectional cooking. The temperature range is 50-250°C, with a default of 220°C. This function can also be used with a rotisserie motor (optional).
  • Convention with Fan: Combines the fan with both heating elements for more even heat penetration, resulting in energy savings of 30-40%. Dishes are lightly browned on the outside while remaining moist inside. This function is ideal for grilling or roasting large pieces of meat at higher temperatures. The temperature can be set between 50-250°C, with a default of 220°C.
  • Radiant Grilling: The inner grill element cycles on and off to maintain temperature. The temperature can be set between 150-240°C, with a default of 210°C. This is an optional function that can work with a rotisserie motor.
  • Double Grilling: Both the inside radiant element and the top element are active. The temperature can be set between 150-240°C, with a default of 210°C. This is an optional function that can work with a rotisserie motor.
  • Double Grilling with Fan: The inside radiant element and top element work in conjunction with the fan. The temperature can be set between 150-240°C, with a default of 210°C.
  • Convection: An element surrounding the convection fan provides an additional heat source for convection-style cooking. The fan automatically activates to improve air circulation and ensure even heat distribution. The temperature can be set between 50-240°C, with a default of 180°C.

Usage Features

  • Clock Setting: Allows setting the 24-hour clock.
  • Function Setting: Users can select cooking functions, adjust temperature, and confirm settings. Default temperatures are provided for convenience.
  • Lamp Setting: Activates the oven lamp.
  • Inquiring Function: Enables checking the current time, reminder time, or reservation time during operation or standby.
  • Child Lock Function: Locks the oven controls to prevent accidental operation. Activated by simultaneously pressing the "start" and "stop" buttons for 3 seconds. Deactivated by the same action.
  • Reminder Function: Sets a reminder for cooking, ranging from 0:01 to 9:59. Only available in standby mode.
  • Start/Pause/Cancel Function: Controls the cooking process, allowing users to start, pause, or cancel cooking.
  • Energy-Saving Function: Turns off the LED display after 3 seconds in waiting or reminding state, or after 10 minutes of inactivity in waiting state, to conserve energy. Any key press or knob rotation exits this mode.
  • Reservation Function: Allows scheduling cooking to start automatically at a future time. Requires the clock to be set in advance. Lamp, defrost, and probe functions cannot be reserved. The reminder function is invalid during reservation.
  • Shelf Placement: Shelves and the universal pan can be used between the first and fifth layers. Correct shelf direction ensures hot food items do not slide out during removal.
  • Rotisserie Accessories: The rotisserie skewer works with the grill element to evenly heat food, preserving nutrition.
  • Telescopic Runners (Specific Models): Facilitate oven use. They can be disassembled by unscrewing to allow dishes and trays to be placed on the oven floor for functions like Radiant grilling, Double grilling, and Double grill with fan. Note: Do not use functions with a bottom heater when dishes are on the oven floor to prevent heat accumulation.
  • Oven Door Removal (Optional): The oven door can be disassembled for cleaning or maintenance. This involves opening the door to its maximum angle, pulling back the hinge buckle, closing the door to 30°, lifting it out, opening the rotation bracket, and then lifting out the outer and middle glass panels.

Maintenance Features

  • General Cleaning: Disconnect power before any maintenance. Set all controls to OFF. Wait until the oven is slightly warm for easier cleaning. Use a damp cloth, soft brush, or fine sponge with hot water and non-abrasive cleaning product for surfaces.
  • Oven Door Glass: Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers on the oven door glass, as they can scratch the surface and lead to shattering.
  • Stainless Steel Parts: Never leave acidic substances (lemon juice, vinegar) on stainless steel components.
  • High-Pressure Cleaners: Do not use a high-pressure cleaner for cleaning the unit.
  • Baking Pans: May be washed with mild detergent.
  • Oven Lamp Replacement: Disconnect power, unscrew the glass lamp cover counter-clockwise, replace the bulb with a new one of the same type (25-40W/220V-240V, T300°C halogen), and screw the cover back in place.
  • Supply Cord: If damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazards.
  • Disconnection Means: An all-pole disconnection means must be incorporated into the fixed wiring according to wiring rules.
  • Installation: Must be performed by an authorized technician. The producer is not responsible for damage caused by defective placement or unauthorized installation. Kitchen unit panels next to the oven must be heat-resistant (withstanding at least 120°C). The back of the kitchen unit should be removed to ensure adequate air circulation.
  • Waste Disposal: The appliance is marked according to European directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE). It should not be treated as household waste but handed over to an applicable collection point for recycling electrical and electronic equipment, in accordance with local environmental regulations.
