Safety distance between cooktop and
rangehood (S)
The minimum safety distances
between the top of a cooker or hob
and the bottom of the cooker hood
are as follows, unless a greater
distance is specified by the
manufacturer of your cooking
appliance:
– 600 mm above electric
cooktops,
– 650 mm above gas cooktops,
– 650 mm above an open grill or
deep fat fryer.

If the distance falls below the
recommended safety distance when
the canopy is lowered, the maximum
interval it is allowed to be lowered must
be reset during installation (see
"Installation").
