noise levels, a special silencer can be
fitted in the ducting system...

positioned as close as possible to the

external motor:
To minimise fan noise in the kitchen, the
silencer should be positioned in front of
the motor b and, with longer exhaust
ducting, on the exhaust connection c
of the rangehood.
With an external motor installed within
the house, the use of a silencer behind
the external motor d enables a
reduction of fan noise by directing it
outside.
In all modes of operation, the most
effective noise reductions are
achieved if two silencers are fitted
one behind the other in the system.
