    • D
      Donald JimenezAug 2, 2025

What to do if my MIRKA ros650cv Sander is vibrating or operating roughly?
    • D
      Danny StewartAug 21, 2025
Rough operation or vibration in your MIRKA Sander may be due to: * Incorrect pad: Use only pad sizes and weights designed for the machine. * Addition of interface pad or other material: Only use abrasive and/or interface designed for the machine. Do not attach unauthorized parts to the sander's pad face. * Worn or broken rear or front motor bearings: Replace the worn or broken bearings. * For vacuum machines, too much vacuum while sanding on a flat surface can cause the pad to stick. For SGV machines, add extra washer(s) to the pad spindle to increase the gap between the pad and shroud. For CV machines reduce vacuum through the vacuum system and/or add extra washer(s) to the pad.

    • M
      mark32Nov 10, 2025
Low power or free speed in your MIRKA Sander can stem from several causes: * Insufficient air pressure: Ensure the air line pressure at the sander's inlet is 6.2 Bar (90 psig/620 kPa) while the tool is running. * Clogged muffler(s): Clean the muffler by back-flushing it with a suitable cleaning solution. If it cannot be cleaned, replace the muffler and muffler insert. * Plugged inlet screen: Clean the inlet screen with a suitable cleaning solution, and replace it if necessary. * Worn or broken vanes: Replace all vanes with a new set, coating them with pneumatic tool oil. * Internal air leakage: Check motor alignment and lock ring engagement, and inspect the O-ring in the lock ring groove. Remove and reinstall the motor assembly. * Worn or broken spindle bearings: Replace the b...
