9 To replace the hazard flasher, pull it from the back of fuse block.
10 Make sure the replacement unit is identical to the one it replaces.
Compare the old one to the new one before installing it.

8 ignition switch and lock cylinder - removal and installation
Refer to illustration 8.2
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2 Remove the steering column cover to gain access to the ignition
switch/lock cylinder (see illustration).
3 Using wire cutters, remove the cable band.
4 Remove the bolts that hold the ignition switch/lock cylinder to the
steering column. Note: On 1988 and later mode/s, the bolts must be cut

Steering column switch - removal and installation
Refer to illusfration 9.3
1 Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2 Remove the steering wheel (see Chapter 10).
3 Remove the steering column covers (see illustration).
4 Using wire cutErs to remove the cable band.
5 Remove the two screws holding the steerfng column switch.
6 Remove the steering column switch.
7 Installation is the reverse of removal.
