4 Check the ball joint (1) for looseness
of 0.1 mm [0.004 in.] or more.

• If looseness is detected, replace the
ball joint with a new one.

■ Ball Joint - Replace
• If the ball joint is integrated with the
control link, replace the assembly.
1 Remove the nut (or lock nut) which
fixes the ball joint.
• Tool: Wrench

2 Ball Joint and Washer - Remove
• The lock nut does not have a washer.

3 Install the new ball joint, and insert
the washer.
• Replace the washer with a new one.
