4 Tighten the nut, and fix the ball joint.
• Replace the nut with a new one.
• Tool: Wrench

Fuel Pipe - Check
1 Check the clamp (1) and the seat (2)
for cracks and wear.

• If there are cracks or wear, contact
your SME dealer

2 Install the clamp for the high
pressure fuel injection pipe at the
previous position. "Fig. 8-45 High

Location" (→ Page 153)
Check the clamp for the high pressure
fuel injection pipe for looseness.
* If looseness or play is detected at the clamp for
the high pressure fuel injection pipe, damage to
the pipe may occur, which could cause a fire.
Install the clamp for the high pressure
fuel injection pipe at the correct
position.
* If it is installed at a wrong position, the pipe
could be damaged, which could cause a fire.
