1.2 Technical Specifications
1.2.1 S15 Lens Options
Since MOBOTIX cameras are backlight-proof, none of the lenses requires a mechanical
auto iris. This makes the cameras extremely robust and maintenance-free.
S15M with L12 Hemispheric Fisheye Lens (Day or Night)
The S15M is shipped with one hemispheric fisheye lens and is available in a day or night
version. One or two sensor modules can be used with the S15D. There are a total of 24
sensor modules with six dierent MOBOTIX lenses, each available in day or night models.
S15D with Sensor Modules
Six dierent MOBOTIX sensor modules are available for the S15D:
• L12 Fisheye with 180° image angle (horizontal)
• L23 Super Wide-Angle with 92° image angle (horizontal)
• L25 Super Wide-Angle with 82° image angle (horizontal)
• L38 Wide-Angle with 55° image angle (horizontal)
• L51 Wide-Angle with 40° image angle (horizontal)
• L76 Telephoto with 27° image angle (horizontal)
• L160 Telephoto with 13° image angle (horizontal)
The integrated virtual PTZ features of the camera software or MxControlCenter/MxEasy
properly correct the lens distortion in the L12 Fisheye that is specific to each lens. The L25
Super Wide-Angle lens has very little distortion and delivers good image quality, even
when the maximum digital zoom is used. An S15D sensor module with L25 lens installed
in one corner of the room can capture the entire room.
