5.1 System Control Options
5.1.1 User Interface
The touchscreen display provides the primary user interface control of the system.
General Navigation
The example screen above shows the general layout, navigation, and controls for the UI. Not all controls
and views will be available for all instruments.
1. Instrument Selection: Choose which instrument to control. Each available instrument
connected to the system control unit will show up here.
2. Display Screens: Choose which screen view to display. Alternate screens (when available) may
show different readouts or have different control settings.
3. Screen Lock: Lock the touchscreen.
4. Menu: View or customize instrument and system settings. Other sub-menu features include:
a. Remote Connections: VNC and scripting parameters.
b. Data: Download system data onto a connected USB Flash Drive.
c. Event Log: Historical log of system level events for reference or diagnostics.
