DEVICES
The
gear
switch
operates
the
landing
gear
actuator
relays.
Pulling
wheel-shaped
knob
out
and
moving
it
to
upper
detent
raises
gear.
However,
an
airspeed
safety
switch,
is
incorporated
in
the
electrical
system
to
prevent
landing
gear
retraction
while
on
the
ground.
To
allow
gear
retraction
with
aircraft
on
jacks;
attach
a
12-inch
length
of
3/8
inch
pliable
rubber
hose
(surgical
tubing)
over
pitot
head,
and
pinch
open
end
with
a
larger
cotter
pin;
roll
tubing
with
cotter
pin
until
compressed
air
within
the
twisted
tube
actuates
aiIspeed
pressure
switch.
Maintain
pressure
on
switch
until
retraction
is
complete.
To
adjust
airspeed
switch
NOSE
GEAR
referto
paragraph
32-60-03.

The
uplimit
switch
will
stop
the
gear
in
its
retracted
position.
Moving
control
knob
to
its
lower
detent
lowers
landing
gear.
The
down
limit
switch
will
stop
gear
actuating
motor
when
proper
force
is
exerted
to
hold
