dust
shield.
Check
gap
retaining
collar
(A)
(Figure

and
top
plate
(B).
Allowable
gap
is
0.00
to
0.85
inches.

Replace
discs
when
gap
exceeds
tolerance.
Use
a
shock
disc
replacement
tool
(C),

told

to
remove
and
install
main
gear
shock
discs.
Use
removable
pad
from
tool
f~e
as
a
guide
on
top
of
shock
link
to
align
discs
as

are
being
compressed.

Careful
application

the
shock
disc(

tool
is
recommended
during
replacement
main
gear
shock
disc
to
keep
from
damaging
fittings.

Shock
disc
retention
collar
should
be
installed
with
the
chamfer
facing
down
and
forward.

Main
landing
gear
leg
assembly

is
to
located
to
provide
a
minumum
of.23
inches
between
tire
and
any
component
inside
wheel
well.
