What to do if my motogadget m.unit blue switches off the electrical consumer and the LED is flashing?
    • J
      Jimmy AlvaradoJul 28, 2025
If your motogadget Control Unit switches off the electrical consumer and the LED is flashing, it could be due to several reasons. First, there might be a poor electrical connection between the vehicle ground and the connector pin; in this case, route a separate cable from the battery's negative terminal to one of the connector pins. Another reason might be a poor electrical connection at the connecting terminal of the m-unit. Try using end ferrules, checking the cable cross-section, and reconnecting the cable. Also, make sure the current flow of the load isn't too high; connect a suitable load (bulb, 2x 60W max.). Finally, check for and eliminate any short-circuits on the output.

If your motogadget Control Unit switches off and restarts when you actuate the starter (and the chaser light is displayed), it's likely that the battery voltage collapses when attempting to start the engine. Check the connecting cables, and either charge or replace the battery if necessary.

If your motogadget Control Unit switches off the starter output when attempting to start (and the LED is flashing), it could be due to a few reasons. First, there might be a poor electrical connection between the vehicle ground and the connector pin of the m-unit; in this case, route a separate cable from the battery's negative terminal to one of the connector pins. Another reason might be that the current flow through the starter or the original starter relay is too high; consider using a separate starter relay. Also, check for a poor electrical connection between the battery and the vehicle's electrical system; establish a suitable connection and use a suitable ground cable.

If both turn signals on your motogadget Control Unit are lit or glowing permanently, it's likely because the position lights are activated. To resolve this, set setup menu item 6 to option A.
