TROLLING MOTOR INSTALLATION AND OPERATION

Firmly grasp the column with one hand while turning the depth collar
adjustment knob counterclockwise until the motor column slides
freely. To secure the column in the desired depth position, turn the
depth collar adjustment knob clockwise and tighten securely.
Readjust steering tension if necessary.

IMPORTANT: When adjusting the motor depth, ensure the lower unit
is submerged 25 cm (9.8 in.) to avoid propeller cavitation in choppy
water.
Speed Control
Adjust the speed control (five forward speeds and two reverse
speeds) to the desired direction and thrust level.
