Chapter 2
Assembling Interview Room Hardware
Follow these steps to set up the hardware for the solution.
For more information, see Interview Room Hardware Component Details on page 9.
Procedure:
1. Install the Dell PowerEdge 250 server on a rack or other location, and plug into a power outlet.
2. Place PoE+ Switch, plug it into a power outlet, and turn it on.
NOTE: The PoE+ connects to the server and to the cameras in the interview rooms. You must
decide on an appropriate location for the PoE+ Switch based on your layout.
3. Connect the PoE+ to your Ethernet.

4. Connect the PoE+ Switch into the Dell PowerEdge 250 with an Ethernet cable.

5. Follow the hardware instructions to assemble the Pelco cameras.
See Pelco Sarix Cameras on page 10.
6. Mount Pelco cameras in interview rooms as desired.
7. Modular cameras only: Connect the modular cameras to the main processor unit with the HD BNC
cables.
8. Connect the microphones to select cameras I/O connectors with a stripped wire.
9. Attach microphones to the wall or ceiling as desired, and plug them into a power outlet.
10. Connect rocker switches to select cameras I/O connectors with a stripped wire.
11. Install rocker switch outside interview rooms.
12. Connect dome cameras or main processor units to the PoE+ Switch with an ethernet cable.

13. Turn on the server.
14. To complete the cloud deployment, log on to CommandCentral Interview Room by accessing https://
interview.commandcentral.com/.
