General Radio Operation
Menu Entry (Softkey)
The bottom row of the display contains one to three menu entries
(also known as softkeys). The menu entries allow you to select from
one of several menus to access the radio’s features. The menu
entries are accessed using the Menu Select buttons.

Talkaround.
• On = Talking directly to another radio,
not through a repeater. Conventional
operation only.
• Off = Talking through a repeater.

Monitor (Carrier Squelch). The selected
channel is being monitored. Conventional
