IMPORTANT:
Ensure that the SIM card is properly placed in the SIM card door and does not rest on
the ribs.

Place the SIM card door back into its position. Start with the edge opposite to the screw.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the SIM card door tab slots into the chassis opening.

Apply pressure on the SIM card door and tighten the M2 countersunk Phillips screw.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the SIM card door is firmly screwed and the dark blue SIM
card door O-ring cannot be seen.
7 Install the battery.

Installing the Battery
IMPORTANT: The following procedure must be performed only in non-hazardous environment.
Procedure:
1 Remove the battery from its protective case.
2 Insert the battery top into the compartment. Ensure that the latches on the radio fit into the slots
on the battery.

Carefully slide the battery from the bottom toward the top of the radio until it clicks into place.
