Repeat the step above to enter more characters.
When you enter three or more characters in a
row, your phone may guess the rest of the word.
For example, if you enter
prog
, you might see:

right to accept a word,
S
up or down
to reject a word, or
#
to insert a space.
If you want a different word, continue pressing
keys to enter the remaining characters.
Press
S
left or right to move the flashing cursor
to the left or right in a text message.
The first character of every sentence is
capitalized. If necessary, press
S
down to
change the character to lowercase before the
cursor moves to the next position.
If you don’t want to save your text or text edits,
press
O
to exit without saving.
iTAP® method
The iTAP software combines your key presses into
common words, and predicts each word as you enter
it. This can be faster than
Tap
method because your
phone combines the key presses into common words.
If
iTAP
method is not available as the
Primary
or
Secondary
entry mode, see page 21.

Press keypad keys to show possible letter
combinations at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll left or right to highlight the combination you
want.

Press
Select
to lock a highlighted combination.
You can press keys to add more letters to the end
of the combination.
