Getting Started
This chapter provides instructions on how to prepare your radio for use.
2.1
Installing and Charging Batteries
Procedure:
1 Turn off the radio.
2 Before installing the batteries, observe for polarity.
3 Charge the battery by using the standard USB power source.
Charging is complete when the battery icon on the radio stops blinking. Charging takes up to 8
hours.
NOTE:
• You can use Alkaline AA batteries.
• Motorola Solutions recommends that you use only the battery that comes with your
radio. Otherwise, your radio might sink.
2.2
Attaching the Belt Clips
Procedure:
1 Attach the belt clip to the belt clip slot at the back of the radio until the clip clicks in place.
2 Attach the belt clip to your pocket or belt strap.
