24 Setting Up an Invisible Boundary Zone
3. Hold the Pet Collar Unit with the Test Light Contacts at your dog’s neck
level.
The Motorola logo should be facing away from the Wireless Fence Unit and
the Collar Contacts should be facing upwards.
4. Slowly walk towards the boundary zone (2 to 3 feet from the “real”
boundary line) you wish to establish. Note that the maximum distance
between the boundary zone and the wireless fence unit is 150 feet.
5. If the Pet Collar Unit starts to emit a warning beep and the Test Light flashes
before you reach the boundary zone, it means that the transmission range
is too low.
If the Pet Collar Unit starts to emit a warning beep and the Test Light flashes
beyond the boundary zone, it means that the transmission range is too
high.
6. Adjust the transmission range (see “Set Transmission Range on your
Wireless Fence Unit” on page 23) and repeat steps 3 to 4.
5.5 Place Boundary Flags
Boundary flags create a visible boundary line for your dog so that they can
actually learn, identify, and see where their boundaries are. Once your dog
learns to respect the boundaries, the flags can be removed and you will be left
with a truly wireless fence! Note that the maximum distance between the
boundary zone and the wireless fence unit is 150 feet.
