4. Repeat the distractions and approaches to the boundary for 10 – 15
minutes.
5. Play and praise for 10 minutes.
6.6 Training - DAYS 8 - 14
Goal:
Remove your dog’s leash and allow your dog to roam freely inside the boundary.
Only proceed to this step if your dog has successfully obeyed the boundary in
the presence of tempting distractions.
• For one week, closely supervise your dog’s behavior. Should your dog
attempt to cross the boundary at any time, go immediately to the previous
on-leash training steps.
6.7 Training - DAYS 14 - 21
Your training is done! Closely monitor your dog from inside and outside the
house – just to make sure that there is no more training required. If in doubt,
repeat your training steps!
