Do not store equipment that is not explicitly authorized by MSA in or on the fire helmet. The storage of gloves, wedges,
lights, and other equipment in or on the fire helmet can dramatically change the protective capacity of the fire helmet.
Store the fire helmet in a clean, dry area where it is not exposed to heat, cold, direct or indirect sunlight, under fluorescent
light, or under UV light.
Keep leather products away from direct sunlight, open windows, hot ovens, and radiators.
Do not store the fire helmet with the lining ratchet face down on a flat surface. Storing the fire helmet with the ratchet fully
extended can cause the lining band and ratchet band mechanism to bend or become distorted, which can affect comfort
and fit.
When not in use, store the fire helmet with the ratchet suspension set to its smallest size.
