6 Maintenance
General Maintenance
The following is to be checked after each use:
● Visual check of all parts for mechanical, chemical or heat-
related damage.
● Visual check of the components for loose and/or missing
screws, as well as loose and/or missing O-rings and/or
seals.
● For accumulators see instructions for use of the camera /
video transmitter
Note:
Components that do not pass visual inspection must be taken
out of operation until the appropriate repairs have been carried
out. Repairs or changes that are outside the measures
described in these instructions or in the instructions for use of
the camera / video transmitter or that are carried out by anyone
other than a person authorised by MSA AUER will invalidate any
warranty claim. Use only original MSA AUER replacement parts.
7Cleaning
After each use all external surfaces are to be wiped with a solution
of a mild cleaning agent and warm water.
Then rub dry with a soft, dust- and lint-free cloth, during which
care is to be taken that optical components are not scratched.
Check connections, sockets, switches, locks and hinges for
fouling and if necessary clean with a soft, dust- and lint-free
cloth.
