The MS-6394 V1.X Micro ATX mainboard is a high-performance compu-
ter mainboard based on ServerWorks
®
LC-T North Bridge & ServerWorks
®
CSB5 South Bridge chipsets. The MS-6394 is designed for Intel
®
Pentium
®
III
(FC-PGA) processor for cost-effective business/personal desktop and entry-
level server markets.
The ServerWorks
®
LC-T chipset provides an integrated high-perform-
ance main memory sub-system, a dual channel PCI bus bridge that provides an
excellent data flow path between the processor bus and a 64-bit PCI bus/the
processor and a 32-bit PCI bus. The DRAM interface provides support for 64-
Mbit, 128 and 256Mbit technology, which will allow up to 128/256/512 Mbytes
per two rows (Double Sided DIMM) and a maximum memory size of 2GB. It also
implements I2C interface, which can be used to access the internal registers.
The ServerWorks
®
CSB5 chipset primarily works as a PCI to Low Pin
Count (LPC) Bridge and is also a source of numerous other integrated functions.
Its main features are: PCI-LPC address/data bridge, DMA controller, IDE (up to
ATA100) & IDE RAID interfaces, ACPI, USB controller, SMBus host and slave
interface,...and etc.
