Starter Rope / Recoil Starter
Thepullrope/recoilstarterisusedto starttheengine.
Primer
Theprimeris usedto pumpgas into thecarburetorand
aidin startingtheengine.Useit to start a coldengine,
butdonotuseit torestarta warmengineaftera short
shutdown.

Blade Control
Locatedon theupperhandle,the bladecontrolmustbe
depressedagainsttheupperhandlein ordertooperate
theunit.Releasingthebladecontrolstopstheengine
andtheedgerblade. SeeFigure3.
Blade Depth Control Lever
Thebladedepthcontrolleveris locatedon therightside
oftheupperhandle.It isusedtocontrolthedepthof the
cut.Thefurtherforwardthebladedepthcontrolleveris
moved,the deeperinto the soilthe edgerbladewill cut.

Bevel Adjustment Lever (if soequipped)
Thebeveladjustmentlever,if soequipped,is located
on thefront,leftportionof theedger,behindtheedger
blade.It isusedtovarythe angleof theedgerblade
betweenoneofthreepositionsfor edging/trenchingor
bevelededging.SeeFigure3.
Curb Height Adjustment Lever
(if so equipped)
Thecurbheightadjustmentlever,ifsoequipped,is
foundon therearportionofthe edger.Whenplacedin
an applicablenotch,it aidsin stabilizingthe edgerwhile
edginggrassalonga curb.SeeFigure3.
