MTD 65 Series - Dip Stick Tube Removal

Dip stick tube removal
To remove/replace the dip stick tube:
1. Remove the dip stick.
2. Remove the two screws securing the dip stick
cover in place using a #2 phillips screw driver.
See Figure 5.4.
3. Remove the screw at the bottom of the dip stick
tube.
See Figure 5.5.
4. Pull the dip stick tube out of the engine block
and fuel tank.
See Figure 5.6.
5. Inspect the O-rings on the dip stick and the dip
stick tube. Replace if damaged.
6. Install by following the above steps in reverse
order.
