Why is the exhaust gas from my MTU Engine blue?
If your MTU Engine has exhaust gas that is blue, it may be due to too much oil in the engine, or a clogged oil separator or oil preseparator of the crankcase breather. Drain the engine oil. Clean the preseparator. Replace the filter element of the oil separator.

If the charge-air temperature is too high in your MTU Engine, it could be due to an incorrect coolant concentration, contaminated air-intake, or the temperature being too high. Check the coolant concentration. Check the fans and air supply / ventilation ducts.
