2. Engine starting system
The engine starting system circuitry has
the following differences depending on
the supply voltage of the starter:
А. Starter М З with the rated voltage of
12 V (Fig.3):
• The power supply of 12 V is applied
to the starter from the two
interconnected batteries “GB1” and
“GB2” , each 12 V;
• The voltage is applied to the solenoid
starter switch for energizing the starter
from the terminal “87” of the solenoid
starter switch “K7”.
B. Starter М3 with the rated voltage of
24 V (Fig. 4):
• The voltage of 24 V is applied to the
starter from the two storage batteries
“GB1” and “GB2” each having the voltage
of 12 V connected in series;
• The voltage is applied to the solenoid
starter switch for energizing the starter
from the terminal “87” of the solenoid
starter switch “K7”.
The starter “М3” supplied with the
voltage of 12 V and 24 V is switched on
by turning the starter and
instrumentation switch “SA6” to the “СТ”
position.
For the instrumentation dashboard 80-
3805010-Д1:
The relay “К6” performs the function of
blocking against restart (starter blocking)
when the engine is running.
The starter blocking relay operates to
de-energize the starter solenoid switch
“К7” that causes the switching-off of the
starter.
