Why does my Napoleon Gas grill have low heat or low flame when the valve is on high?
    • C
      christopherclarkAug 17, 2025
If your Napoleon Gas grill has low heat or a low flame when the valve is turned to high, the cause could be due to several factors. If you're using propane, ensure you're following the correct lighting procedure, making sure all gas grill valves are off when you turn on the tank valve. Turn the tank on slowly to allow the pressure to equalize. If you're using natural gas, the supply line might be undersized; ensure the pipe is sized according to the installation code. For both propane and natural gas, improper preheating could be the issue. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.

Why does my Napoleon BIPRO 600 Grill have excessive flare-ups and uneven heat?
    • J
      Joshua ClarkAug 20, 2025
Excessive flare-ups and uneven heat on your Napoleon Grill can be caused by sear plates installed incorrectly, improper preheating, or excessive grease and ash build-up. Ensure sear plates are installed correctly with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Regularly clean sear plates and the drip pan, and do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

How to fix low heat/low flame on my Napoleon BIPRO 600 Grill?
    • M
      mackenziehaynesAug 23, 2025
Low heat or flame on your Napoleon Grill, even when the valve is on high, can occur due to a few reasons: improper lighting procedure (for propane grills), an undersized supply line (for natural gas grills), or improper preheating (for both). Ensure the lighting procedure is followed carefully, with all gas grill valves in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. For natural gas grills, the pipe must be sized according to installation code. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes.

Why is the burner output too low on my Napoleon Grill?
    • T
      Tiffany Mitchell MDAug 26, 2025
If the burner output on the 'high' setting is too low on your Napoleon Grill, it could be due to a lack of gas, a pinched supply hose, a dirty or clogged orifice, spider webs or other material in the venturi tube, or the propane regulator being in a 'low flow' state. Check the gas level in the propane cylinder and reposition the supply hose if necessary. Clean the burner orifice and venturi tube. Ensure the lighting procedure is followed carefully: all gas grill valves must be in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and the tank should be turned on slowly to allow pressure to equalize.

Why does the infrared burner on my Napoleon Grill flash back?
    • C
      Corey ChanAug 30, 2025
If the infrared burner on your Napoleon Grill flashes back, it could be due to ceramic tiles overloaded with grease, clogged ports, overheating from inadequate ventilation, a cracked ceramic tile, or a leaking gasket. Turn the burner off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Relight it and burn on high for at least five minutes or until the ceramic tiles are evenly glowing red. Make sure no more than 75% of the grill surface is covered by objects. If cracks are found, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.

Why do my Napoleon BIPRO 600 burners have a yellow flame and smell of gas?
    • J
      Jaime HillSep 2, 2025
A yellow flame accompanied by the smell of gas on your Napoleon Grill burners can be caused by a possible spider web or other debris, or improper air shutter adjustment. Thoroughly clean the burner by removing it. Open the air shutter slightly according to combustion air adjustment instructions. (This must be done by a qualified gas installer.)

Why are the flames lifting away from the burner on my Napoleon Grill?
    • J
      Jennifer Rhodes DVMSep 5, 2025
If the flames lift away from the burner, accompanied by the smell of gas, and you're experiencing difficulties in lighting your Napoleon Grill, it's likely due to improper air shutter adjustment. Close the air shutter slightly according to combustion air adjustment instructions. (This must be done by a qualified gas installer.)

Why is "paint" peeling inside the lid of my Napoleon BIPRO 600 Grill?
    • T
      torrespatriciaSep 12, 2025
If it appears that "paint" is peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Grill, this is not a defect. The finish on the lid and hood is porcelain and will not peel. The peeling is caused by hardened grease, which dries into paint-like shards that flake off. Regular cleaning will prevent this.

    • J
      Jordan KimSep 13, 2025

What to do if Napoleon BIPRO 600 burner won't light with igniter?
    • S
      smithmarcusNov 27, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill burner won't light with the igniter but lights with a match, the causes could be a dead or incorrectly installed battery, a loose electrode wire or switch terminal wires, the wrong replacement igniter, an improper gap at the electrode tip, or lifting flames on the burner. Replace the battery with a heavy-duty battery. Check that the electrode wire is firmly pushed onto the terminal on the back of the igniter and that the lead wires from the module to the ignition switch (if equipped) are firmly pushed onto their respective terminals. One spark systems must use a one spark igniter. Ensure that the collector box is tight and the gap between the electrode end and the collector box is between 1/8” - 3/16” (3mm-5mm), adjusting by bending the box if needed. Closing the air...
