What to do if the infrared burner on my Napoleon PRO665-3 Grill flashes back?

  If the infrared burner on your Napoleon Grill flashes back (makes a loud “whoosh” sound, followed by a continuous blow-torch type sound and grows dim), turn the burner off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Relight it and burn on high for at least five minutes, or until the ceramic tiles are evenly glowing red. Ensure that no more than 75% of the grill surface is covered by objects or accessories. Turn the burner off and allow to cool for at least two minutes, then relight. Allow the burner to cool and inspect very closely for cracks. If any cracks are found, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.

What to do if my Napoleon Grill pilot will not light?

  If the pilot on your Napoleon Grill will not light, after turning the pilot knob to high, wait approximately 20-30 seconds for air to purge the gas supply line while pressing the igniter. Ensure you have enough gas by filling the propane cylinder. During initial set-up or after refilling the tank, light one of the tube burners before lighting the pilot burner to help gas reach the valves more quickly. Check for and clean any obstruction in the pilot orifice. Replace the lead wire if necessary. Clean the pilot electrode. Note that the pilot flame, especially on natural gas units, can be very difficult to see; place your hand 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the grill surface over the pilot burner to feel for heat.
