What to do if my Napoleon Grill has low heat/low flame?
    • P
      pinedaaaronAug 17, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill has low heat or a low flame when the valve is turned to high, it could be due to several reasons. For propane grills, ensure you are following the correct lighting procedure, with all gas grill valves in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly. For natural gas grills, the supply line might be undersized. For both types, improper preheating could be the cause. Preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Also, make sure the pipe is sized according to the installation code.

Why is my Napoleon PRO665RSIBNSS-3 having excessive flare-ups or uneven heat?
    • C
      Catherine HurleyAug 20, 2025
Excessive flare-ups or uneven heat in your Napoleon Grill can be caused by a few things. First, check that the sear plates are installed correctly, with the holes towards the front and the slots on the bottom. Improper preheating can also be a factor, so preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 10 to 15 minutes. Lastly, excessive grease and ash buildup on the sear plates and in the drip pan can cause this issue. Clean the sear plates and drip pan regularly, and do not line the pan with aluminum foil.

Why does my Napoleon Grill burner output on high setting is too low?
    • S
      Susan JenkinsAug 23, 2025
A low burner output on the high setting of your Napoleon Grill, accompanied by a rumbling noise and fluted ring blue flame, can indicate a lack of gas. Check the gas level in your propane cylinder or ensure the supply hose isn't pinched. A dirty or clogged orifice, or spider webs in the venturi tube, can also be the cause. Clean the burner orifice and venturi tube. Additionally, the propane regulator might be in a 'low flow' state; ensure the lighting procedure is followed carefully: all gas grill valves must be off when the tank valve is turned on, and the tank should be turned on slowly to allow pressure to equalize.

Why won't my Napoleon Grill main burner light with the igniter?
    • B
      Beth WalkerAug 26, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill main burner won't light with the igniter but lights with a match, the jet-fire outlet may be dirty or clogged. Clean the jet-fire outlet with a soft bristle brush.

What to do if electronic ignition is not working on my Napoleon PRO665RSIBNSS-3?
    • S
      Stephanie JenkinsAug 28, 2025
If the electronic ignition on your Napoleon Grill isn't working, start by checking the power connection. Ensure the unit is plugged into a working GFI protected outlet and that the transformer cord is plugged into the power box. Next, check the fuse located on the outlet line of the transformer and replace it if blown. Verify the transformer output is 12VAC and replace if needed. Clean any corroded or loose terminals on the switch or circuit board, ensuring connectors are firmly pushed together. The circuit board is accessible under the electrical cover on the left side of the cabinet. Finally, consider replacing the igniter, also located under the electrical cover, or cleaning/replacing the electrodes as required.

Why do my Napoleon PRO665RSIBNSS-3 Grill burners burn with a yellow flame and smell of gas?
    • K
      Kenneth LeblancAug 31, 2025
If your Napoleon Grill burners are burning with a yellow flame and there's a smell of gas, it could be due to a spider web or other debris in the burner, or an improper air shutter adjustment. Thoroughly clean the burner after removing it. A qualified gas installer should slightly open the air shutter according to combustion air adjustment instructions.

Why is the 'paint' peeling inside the lid of my Napoleon PRO665RSIBNSS-3?
    • D
      Dominique MorrisonSep 5, 2025
The 'paint' peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Grill is not a defect. The finish is porcelain and will not peel. The peeling is hardened grease that has dried into paint-like shards. Regular cleaning will prevent this.

Why are oven and control panel lights not working on my Napoleon PRO665RSIBNSS-3 Grill?
    • J
      Jodi AguilarSep 12, 2025
If the oven and control panel lights on your Napoleon Grill aren't working, check the power connection first. Ensure the unit is plugged into a working GFI protected outlet and that the transformer cord is plugged into the power box. If that's not the issue, check the fuse located on the outlet line of the transformer and replace it if blown. Verify the transformer output is 12VAC and replace if necessary. Clean any corroded or loose terminals on the switch or circuit board, ensuring connectors are firmly pushed together. The circuit board is accessible under the electrical cover on the left side of the cabinet. For oven lights only, replace the bulbs as per the instructions in the maintenance section of the manual.
