Section 1: Description
Refer to the functional block diagram: NV Series Transmitter Block Diagram - see page 1-9.
This section provides a high-level description of the transmitter’s key sections. The transmitter
circuitry is subdivided into four basic stages:
• Ac-dc power stage
• Control/monitor stage - see page 1-3
• RF drive stage - see page 1-4
• RF power stage - see page 1-6
NV30/NV40 electrical schematics
Some descriptions in this section refer to electrical schematics (SD-#s) . These are located in Section
5 of the NV30/NV40 Troubleshooting Manual.
Redundancy
The NV30/NV40 features redundancy in all key systems:
• RF power modules
• Exciters
• Cooling fans
• Cooling fan power supplies
• Low voltage power supplies
• SBC/AUI power supplies
