•Keepcombustiblematerialawayfromengineexhaustsystemandexhaustmanifolds.
•Installallshields,guards,andaccesscoversbeforeoperatingengineorvehicle.
•Donotrunenginewithunprotectedairinletsorexhaustopenings.Ifunavoidableforservicereasons,put
protectivescreensoverallopeningsbeforeservicingengine.
•Shutengineoffandrelieveallpressureinthesystembeforeremovingpanels,housingcovers,andcaps.
•Ifanengine,orvehicle,isnotsafetooperate,tagtheignitionkey.
