Intakeairow:FilteredairenterstheLPcompressor,whereitiscompressedanddirectedtotheLPCAC

(ifequipped).CooledLPairenterstheHPcompressorwhereitisfurthercompressedanddirectedintothe

HPCAC.CompressedairthentravelsthroughtheETVandtheintakethrottleduct.Thissystemprovideshigh

chargeairpressuretoimproveengineperformanceandtohelpreduceemissions.

Exhaustgasow:TheHPturbochargerisconnecteddirectlytotheexhaustmanifoldthroughtheHPturbine

inlet.ExhaustgasesexittheHPturbineoutletandaredirectedtotheLPturbineinlet.TheHPturbochargeris

equippedwithasinglewastegate,whichiscontrolledbypneumaticactuator.Whenboostdemandislow,the

wastegateisopened,allowingpartoftheexhaustgasowtobypasstheturbine.
